A beautiful well-maintained mechanical calculator from the 1950s from West Germany. Emil Schubert (1883-1952) worked for the Triumphator company in Leipzig in the early 1910s. That company specialized in mechanical calculators. After a few years he started his own company Thales, which also produced mechanical calculators until 1930. He was thrown out of his company in 1936, after which he started a new company under his own name in 1938: Schubert. The factory was located in Rastatt (next to Gaggenau) in the former West Germany. Many quality products came from here. Very recognizable from that time. Decoratively very interesting and an eye-catcher for your home or company.
This green calculator works well: you can add, subtract, multiply and divide. It is a slightly older model than the regular DRV that had a hammered motif. Normally this would be a CRV. It is also very well maintained, no rust. Maybe a little stiff.
Now that we work more from home and sometimes we set up a separate room for it, it is also time to create a nice room there. What do you need now? That depends on what you like.
